Neuropathy

Within the last week, the neuropathy [numbness & tingling] in my hands and feet has intensified. It is strong in my fingertips and goes up my forearms. It's also strong on the soles of my feet. I walked to the Ithaca Festival this evening and I was having a hell of a time because how the neuropathy had my feet feeling so weird while I walked. It seems it's going to gets worse before it gets better.

My doc recommended 100 mg of Vitamin B-6 2x day, so that's what I've been taking. I sure hope it helps. This is a weird symptom and a little disconcerting as well.

  2. How frustrating, and maybe even nerve-wracking. I have some numbness in my hands and wrists that is pregnancy related. It is incredibly frustrating, and at times nerve-wracking. I can't imagine having to deal with it in my feet as well. I hope the B6 helps you.

  3. Will the side effects of treatment never cease?

Bert, kudos to you for still being sane at this point. Every time I check back here and read that you are still going through treatment I think, "I can't imagine what he is going through, and I don't think I could stand it." I'm sure you have your moments, like anyone would, but when I read your posts, your positive attitude continues to impress me. I hope that some day your son will be able to read all of your writings about this experience. For he will most certainly be proud of you and be inspired by your story. As we all are.

    Thinking of you.

  4. I believe the B vitamins will help! My naturopath put me on Sublingual B-6 - liquid, 50mg a day. Was on it from the beginning and still got some symptoms... but not as bad as others on the same regiment. Its all but gone 1 month out. You guitar playin hands are golden.... hope the B-6 will rid you of this quickly now that you are DONE!
