I administered my Liver/B-12 shot this morning. Keep in mind the needle is about three inches long. Exactly - real nice. Well believe it or not it was cake. There was zero pain and zero discomfort administering the shot as opposed to any time in the past that a nurse gave me a shot...??? Anyway, the thing slides right in like a hot knife into butter. Ooh! Bad analogy. Anyway, it was super easy. What a relief! Now I can do 'em myself every day.
Two new patients and their companions arrived today. We met one couple. I wonder what is going through their minds? I was all over the road the day I arrived...

ReplyDeleteYou are amazing! You have perseverance, respect, integrity, the desire to "win" and the enthusiasm that so many want. I have not been able to cry since first you told us of your diagnosis and when I read your tribute to Chris, I wept.
ReplyDeleteYour generosity is unbounding. I love you dearly.
Mama
Your Conifer friends are checking up on you, cheering you on and wishing you the best every day.
ReplyDeleteYou're in our prayers!
You are a FIGHTER and your determination is Incredible. You know I once read that folks that had cancer beat it with positive emotions and attitude. It looks and sounds like you are definitely on your way to a complete healing here my friend.

Bret,
ReplyDeleteWe just wanted you to know that we are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers! You know that we have an understanding of what you are going through, but there is a pride that we feel in having met you, knowing that you were willing to place your life, trust, and faith in the alternative medical world. We have an absolute belief that you are on the right path! Not only are you in the right place, but also you have prepared yourself to be in the proper mind set to allow your body to heal! Know that God will give you the strength you need as you move through this time in your life!
Chris,
When my husband, Jim, made his first visit to the Immune Recovery and Wellness Clinic, I was his companion. I can only imagine how he felt, my husband of then 32 years, having to place his pride as a man aside more than ever before in his life trusting me to never compromise what we were traveling through together. That is not to say that we did not laugh and joke about things (trust me we really needed to!), but we never lost sight of the reality that he was fighting to overcome a disease that what would have otherwise some day debilitated him. This was a total healing, body, soul, and spirit and to have had the privilage to be there with him was truly a life changing experience for me. I admire you for the love and support that you are showing Bret! He is truly blessed to have a wonderful friend like you and I am sure that you must feel honored that he chose you to be with him!
For both of you!
And now on the lighter side - time for a little laughter from our first visit to the Immune Recovery and Wellness Clinic! We met a man while at the clinic who had visited the clinic for 16 years. He was suffering with severe toxic poisoning that had actually gone into the bone. He was our gift from God that first visit! He just helped to put us at ease…sharing just enough to give us “HOPE” that things were going to be okay! One evening when we were out for a short walk, we saw him for the first time in several hours. He seemed to be wired and we surely didn’t understand why, as this was not like him at all! Well, the clinic taught us to use decaffeinated coffee for the enema process, but that is not to say that you still didn’t get a buzz from it! Well, Ramine had come home from the clinic, took his enema, layed down, and FELL ASLEEP! He was so funny…wired just like the energizer bunny!
Okay, we have taken up enough space and time here…just know that we keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
As ever,
Jim and Patti Maybee

Bert,
ReplyDeleteWe just wanted to say hello and let you know that we continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers. When Jim was in the clinic in Tucson the first time (which was a three week visit) it was about Tuesday of the second week when his body did some serious detoxification. It passed within a couple of days, and then he really started to feel better. Just make sure that you are getting your rest and keep the faith that God will carry you through this! You continue to be an inspiration to Jim - he really admires you! Until tomorrow...rest and heal...and remember "HOPE"!
As ever,
Jim and Patti Maybee
